LaShanda McCadney has been using her amazing gift of worship to unselfishly help lead others to God's presence and abundance of love. With a passion for music and a desire to touch God’s heart, her voice has been a gift that has blessed many and continues to flourish through her church and throughout the Christian/Gospel community. According to LaShanda, leading worship is not about her or the music but about God and his people. If you have ever been in worship with her, you will notice one thing…she gives her all. "My desire is to touch God's heart. I want to be able to help others experience that same feeling I received the moment that I experienced his presence wholeheartedly".
Born and raised in Rochester, New York, LaShanda began singing as a young child growing up in the church. LaShanda was exposed to many genres of music which help her flourish and define who she is today. Faithfully serving as the worship leader for over 10 years at Jesus Christ The Chief Cornerstone Ministries, which is founded by her parents Glenn and Eletha Williams. This has allowed LaShanda to cultivate her path that appeals to no particular culture or class.
In 2012, with the help of her husband, producer/musician Terrence McCadney, her debut CD project, “Contagious” was born and released. Since the debut release, she has traveled to many cities, sang with various choirs and minstrels, shared stages with many well-known artists and worship leaders, and brought many to Christ w/ her love of praise & worship. She was featured with a showcase opportunity on Bobby Jones Gospel, performed as a featured artist for the Kingdom Bound series from 2009-2014, and LaShanda's ministry has crossed denominational and cultural boundaries, causing her to be a blessing to a wider spectrum of people. This grace allows her to bridge gaps between cultures, denominations, and generations. LaShanda has a heart and ministry for this generation to experience revival.
More than just leading worship, LaShanda also instructs and facilitates worship leaders and their teams through out different regions. LaShanda and her husband also host a worship nights called Outpour. These events are held through out the region to ignite revival.
Recently LaShanda has released a new single on February 6th 2018 entitled “I Believe”. This song was birthed out of a place of trusting God and his promises even when you don’t see them. Her hope is to encourage others to believe again, trust again, and step out on faith again. “I Believe” is available online on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon, and several other digital markets.
LaShanda is currently NEW and ACTIVE on the BILLBOARD/MEDIABASE GOSPEL CHARTS for 2019 and comes in at TOP #30 on the BILLBOARD GOSPEL INDICATOR CHARTS. With Online streams of more that 120k in less than 4 months, her story is beginning to grow fast. These accomplishments are secondary as She continues to Inspire, lead, and encourage others with her ministry as she fulfills the assignment and calling for her life.
